7th Grade Boys Roster
Game Summary -Fennville at Lawrence
Starting out on the road for their first game as a 7th grade blackhawk basketball players, the team struggled to get over their first game jitters. However, many of the players gave their all and learned what they and the team need to work on to improve as a basketball team. Coach VanderMeulen is expecting a much improved effort and performance in game two.
Game Summary -Fennville vs Bloomingdale
The Blackhawks were outsized in the loss to the Cardinals. The boys started the game strong in the first half but faded in the second half. On the plus side, the Blackhawks defense and rebounding improved throughout the game but it didn't prove enough to defeat the Cardinals. Fennville lost the game 12-28.
Game Summary - Fennville at Martin
Monday against Martin we picked up our first victory, the team played well defensively forcing some turnovers on 22 for some easy buckets. The team was lead by Seth Schut, who scored at least 8 of his points on free throws( He made every freethrow attempt).
Game Summary - Fennville vs Bloomindale
Coach Vandermulen was unable to attend because of Parent Teacher Conferences, so Coach Lombard took over.The blackhawks lost by 22 points, with poor decision making that lead to 22 turn-overs. Bloomingdale also out-rebounded the blackhawks with some superior size.
Game Summary - Fennville vs. Gobles
The Blackhawks looked much improved on the defensive side of the ball, but couldn't score enough points to pull out a victory
Game Summary - Fennville vs Saugatuck
Not much went right in the loss to Saugatuck 34-4. The Blackhawks were out huslted and out worked by the Indians. Although the backup's played strong defense for Fennville in the second half, it was not enough for Saugatuck's sharp shooting and teamwork.
