Ms. Gutierrez

Ms. Gutierrez graduated from nearby West Ottawa High School. She then went on graduate from Grand Valley State University.

Currently, Ms. Gutierrez teaches Geometry, Technical Math, and Advanced Placement Calculus. She believes "a positive attitude and willingness to learn are the most important characteristics of a good student."

Her favorite quote is "Mind - Once stretched by a new idea never regains its original dimensions." ~ Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. Her favorite excuse from students is the classic "My dog ate my homework."

Outside of school, Ms. Gutierrez enjoys hiking, kayaking, and gardening. She also notes that as "A mother of 3 children, I understand the frustrations, joys, and heartaches of parenting."
