Mr. Cortright graduated from Allegan High School, and then went on to Western Michigan University. There, he earned a BA in teaching and and MA in reading. He also earned an MS in Administration from University of Houston at Clear Lake.

Mr. C (as students like to call him) used to be the Upper Elementary Principal before moving up to the High School. He now teaches English 9 and the Fundamentals of Reading. Outside of school, Mr. Cortright enjoys hunting and fishing. He must be a good hunter, because his favorite food is venison steak.
